2021
Changing times.
The COVID-19 Pandemic.
The COVID-19 pandemic hit the UK on 23rd March 2020 and the country went into lockdown for the first time in living memory. Thereafter until March 2021 there were three prolonged periods of national lockdown with significant national and international social disruption, economic loss and general hardship.
Things changed globally, overnight, and the William Lamb group had to adapt quickly. As the nation switched to an on-line world, one of the first things we did was invest more in our online presence and e-commerce so that we could stay better connected with our customers.
Change is the only constant.
At the same time, we worked hard to strengthen and find new partners in our supply chain to make sure we could keep delivering the same trusted value in our products. There was a surge in shopping online, and William Lamb was well placed to support its new and expanding base of online retailers in this dramatic switch in consumer shopping habits. By 2021 we were ready to launch a new simple and efficient way of buying via williamlambgroup.com. Built with the aim to break through geographical barriers and reach international customers, the new ecommerce site also made it easier for existing domestic customers to access the vast array of William Lamb product.
